If pictures.exe doesn't meet your needs there are a few alternatives available......

I have not tried any of them but they seem to do a similar job, so maybe one of them will be more suitable.

Photo Entry - an online service to allow clubs to collect entries.

This is easily compatible with Pictures, just be sure to set the delimiter between the competitor and image names to %.
